Amiga Mouse (The Tank) Model 1352 retro inspired wireless mouse + dongle:
$50.00
The (in)famous Amiga "Tank" Mouse, based on the original Amiga 1352 mouse from 1985.
Comes with all the original features such as:
A left button...
AND a right button...
Design language that screams "Carpel tunnel syndrome"
Color scheme that won't clash with nicotine yellowing over time (ahh, the eighties... kids, ask you parents)
Various hints that the designers thought 8 bit cad software was "a bit posh"
To this we've added a wireless reciever / dongle, optical sensor and scrollwheel. Keeping all the original charm, whilst adding just enough modern features to not actually make it anywhere near comfortable or ergonomic, but still be usable as a daily driver. If you ever had the pleasure of working with this brick back in the days (or even maintained a healthy obsession with the Amiga and Commodore brands into adulthood) you'll know the satisfying feel of a good, solid, chunky square mouse!
This is the mouse that charted the course of gesture based input computing for the next 40 years (One might even go as far as to say it's 'Famouse..'? Ok, I'll show myself out...)Works perfectly well as an every day mouse, although a good reminder of stretch exercises might be advisable, and will serve as a close quarters defense instrument in anything from zombie apocalypses to interoffice cubicle-to-cubicle warfare (although the omission of the original cord will limit the famous 'swing-and-sling attack' (as banned by the Geneva-convention). Same goes for the lack of the original motion tracking ball, and true aficionados of the time, will have to settle for pretending to remove this for cleaning, if the mouse stops tracking correctly, and longingly reminisce of the weird disgusting gunk that would inevitably get stuck in all the little knocks and crannies of the wheels, bearings and lid. ahh, happy days.3D printed shell, with wireless innards installed, optical sensor, mouse-wheel, USB-A dongle and 3rd/4th button functions. Please bear in mind, that parts of this product is 3d printed, so small pieces of support material may have slipped past our quality assessment unpaid interns (yay, eighties) (for which they will be severely disciplined) but should come off easily, without the need of baseball bats, orbital artillery or sternly worded letters to your local newspaper. Also: Batteries not included (Damn, I've always wanted to say that) Uses one AA batteryShipping:- Even though this glorious pinnacle of eighties design has been known to withstand unimaginable punishment at the hands of their users, in their valiant but ultimately vain attempt to vent their frustrations of computing at the time, we will do our best to securely package it for transport.- Shipped with the willingly corrupted assistance of 'Post Nord' or 'GLS', as trackable package.
For orders outside the European union, be aware that import taxes, vat, customs etc. might be added by your local authorities / emperor / dark lord, and is your responsibility.- For off-world shipping, please contact your local space agency and/or private subcontractor, before ordering. - Any customs / vat / human sacrifice not charged by this platform, will be at buyers expense.- If model is damaged beyond repair / shows signs of serious mishandling (especially if you suspect apple fanatics have been involved), please get in touch and we will help out best we can.Care and maintenance instructions:This item is grown up, and can handle quite a lot of verbal abuse.
As for physical abuse / everyday life, please bear the following in mind:- The model is unprimed (unless agreed upon), and should be primed in your favorite primer as soon as possible, to improve the materials uv resistance before painting.
If unpainted, it should still be fine, but might be more susceptible to warp from strong heat or develop a slightly higher risk of brittleness if left exposed to strong direct sunlight for long periods of time- Model is printed in quite sturdy, and slightly flexible "abs-like" resin, with some parts made in toughened pla+, but should not be subjected to tantrum-tosses, drops from tables / low earth orbit or in general any torment the original mouse is fondly remembered for enduring on a daily basis- If sanding, filing, chainsawing, lazgunning or in other ways subjecting the item to procedures that can generate dust, appropriate filter-masks, eye protection, battle armor etc should be worn.- We really shouldn't have to say this, but we highjacked a ship-full of lawyers recently, and they won't shut up about it (as well as silly things such as "food" and "toilets"), but this is obviously not a toy for small children, and any spawn you may have around your lair, should be closely monitored and/or chained up, bla-bla, sharp plastic, choking hazard and so on/forth. don't sue us over your poor parenting (but we can share a drink after the inevitable divorce proceedings).
Same goes for ordering this item without the consent of your partner/parents/pets. Don't blame us for any predictable drama resulting from your (admittedly awesome) taste in gadgets. See above about post-divorce drinks (you're buying the first round)If you have any questions or inquiries (not inquisition related, guys, stop calling us, we know no-one expects you, and that is your main weapon... amongst all the other ones!), please don't hesitate to contact us, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible (warp gate access, army deployment and flux capacitor depending of course)
