This is a fully working Macintosh 512K Enhanced system that was painted bright red by a previous owner.  The paint job is well done, although there are a few smudges/scratches in the paint as shown.  It appears that the label on the back has been removed and re-applied, probably for painting.  The computer is fully functional, and boots to the included Mac OS 4.1 floppy disk.


After making the video I realized this is the “enhanced” version of the 512K, which means it has an 800K disk drive, not 400K. In other words, it can use both 400K and 800K disks.


Obviously, this is a vintage computer from 1984 -- it does not have a hard drive, and it is not capable of Internet, or most modern functions.  This should sell to a collector, not someone wanting to get work done. Additionally it is very tricky to find and use software for this machine due to the old OS and many other factors — it is not for amateurs. Please be aware of what you are buying.


Comes with the computer itself, 4.1 boot disk, keyboard, keyboard cable, mouse, and power cable, but no other original materials.  Will be professionally packed for safe shipping.


This is a stunning and one-of-a-kind computer!  I'd never seen one in red before, and it's really something to see.
