Atari 800XL Home Computer with Video, Memory, and Operating System upgrades. This computer has a video upgrade which provides a sharper and more vibrant video image, and it also restores the Chroma circuit which enables S-Video output. The memory has been increased from 64K to 256K by the addition of the Newell 256KXL RAM upgrade. This upgrade also enables ANTIC banking; so the computer is 100% compatible with the Atari XE computer. The Operating System has been upgraded by the addition of the Omniview 80 XL/XE operating system. The Omniview OS gives the computer an 80 Column capability. The Operating System is changed by using the Channel Select switch in the back of the computer. The computer should be turned off before changing the Operating System. When the computer is in the Omniview OS, the 80 Column mode is activated by pressing [Control A} then pressing reset. The computer comes with a power supply, a video cable that has S-Video, Composite Video, and two channels of Audio. The computer mother board is fully socketed. All systems are working as designed. The Keyboard is a Mechanical type 1 ALPS keyboard. There are also two game cartridges and two joysticks to get started with. A user manual and a BASIC programming guide are also provided. The Video screens shown are a Dell monitor. The element is a TV and those pictures show the video using a standard RF cable connected to the TV's cable input. The monitor screen with the blue/green background is using composite video. The computer is clean and has no yellowing. The last four pictures show the computer using the 80 Column version of AtariWriter Plus. This word processor can be downloaded for free if you have a Sdrive.
