You have a choice of a Bob Woolley or HyperXF ROM chip for your XF551 disk drive.

These ROMs will upgrade your drive to the latest ROM available which fixes a lot of problems and makes the drive more stable.You can now also use a PC 3.5" 720K drive mech with your Atari for 2880 blocks of data on a DSDD diskette!

Your choice on which ROM for the drive:

-Bob Woolley ROM is just a patched ROM for use of a 3.5" 80 track drive. (The Original way it was done, leaves the drive stock)

-HyperXF is a extensive upgrade with lots of features like sector skewing for faster read/write and partitioning.You have a choice for the 3.5" or 5.25" version (if you just want to upgrade and keep the 5.25" drive mech)

(NOTE: Skills for removal of old drive ROM chip and light soldering might be required.Chip is almost always in a socket already but if not then you will have to remove the old OS chip and install a socket for the new chip. Installation instructions included.)
