I've put together a great personal collection of vintage (and related) computers but it's time to pare it down a bit. There aren't enough hours in the day to tackle as many projects as I'd like. I'll be listing multiple machines and would love to see them go from one enthusiast's collection to another.
Description:If you're looking for a nice combination of nostalgia and modern day hardware, this may be for you. This system was received as a reward from My Retro Computer Ltd's successful 2022 Kickstarter campaign. It has been kept in its original packaging, except for when it was removed to take pictures for this listing. The system has not been set up, used, or even connected to power. The Commodore 64x Ultimate comes with 16gb* of RAM, a 9th Gen Intel i5 processor, an Nvidia GTX 1650 dedicated graphics chip, and runs the new Commodore Vision operating system. I believe that it comes with a Linux-based options as well. It can support Windows 10/11, but does not come with a license or with Windows pre-installed. It has both HDMI and DisplayPort video output -- both support 4k but only the DP does so at 60hz (HDMI is listed as 24hz). It has both an ethernet LAN port as well as Wifi enabled by an M.2 module. There's a 500GB NVMe drive as the main storage and it also features a built-in 2.5" harddrive dock where you can plug in another drive without needing to open the case.
* As part of my Kickstarter pledge, I paid for additional RAM. Since the box only shows "16GB" and I haven't turned it on, I can't confirm that it was actually installed. There may very well be more, but I don't want to make that claim without having confirmed it for myself.You will receive the Original Commodore 64x packaging containing:
