A diagnostic test can also be used with a diagnostic harness consisting of numerous dongles that will also test the hardware ports of your Commodore machine.In short: a dead test cartridge has more chance in starting up and indicating something if there is a bad fault but a diagnostic test cartridge is faster, more thorough, and can be extended with a testing harness.
