Commodore Amiga 1000 Vintage Computer Working w Issues READ
PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO!!! THE VIDEO HAS CRITICAL INFORMATION!
This Amiga 1000 powers on to the Kickstart screen as it should, the power light illuminates, and the disk drive clicks, showing that it is alive.
However, the computer has significant wear as shown in the pictures and video. Disks do not feed smoothly into the disk drive...something may be mis-aligned, and the front part of the computer does move a little, so the computer may need to be tightened up. With effort it is possible to get a disk in, and the drive acts like it is reading, but it does not read a working disk. I have found that often these old drives need to be cleaned, etc., although I cannot guarantee this particular case.
The plastic clips on the sides and front are broken, as is typical, and the top case therefore does not "click" in place very securely. This 1000 does have the 256K expansion as shown. Only one side is screwed in, although it feels secure. The front center panel is a 3D-printed replacement, and while it is not perfectly color matched, it's better than nothing. The right side port has no cover.
Comes with just the 1000, power cable, and 256K module (installed). Does not include keyboard, screen, media, other cables, or other materials not shown.
All this aside, it's a mostly-working 1000 that deserves to be restored. I am disclosing everything I know about it in good faith. It is guaranteed as described, but due to unknowns I am selling as-is with no guarantees or returns.
If you have questions, just ask!
Thanks!
