A Commodore compatible FSD-1 disk drive, that mechanically works and the alignment just seems a bit off. It can format and read it's own disk. It can read the directory of other disks I have, but trying to load something it ends up failing. Speed test shows it running proper, and head check works. So I am pretty sure it is an alignment issue, but as I can't do anything other then format a disk or read directories, I'm going to say this is as-is. There is also a little damage, which I took pictures of. This is a metal case with a plastic front style drive.
This was a nice drive, over shadowed by the later FSD-2. This one does have an internal power supply, which was nice as one less power brick to work with. Also does have dip switches to set the drive number on the bottom. If you have any questions, please let me know. And I will be having more Commodore items posted soon, just takes me a bit as I try to test and verify the working condition of each.
And because you have to say it, this listing is only for the FSD-1 drive. It has an internal power supply with attached power cord. But thats it. You ain't getting my C=2002 monitor!
It will be packaged well, as well as a disk put in backwards to keep the drive heads from slamming in transit.
