EPROM Emulator 2716-27512 for Z80, 6502, 8080, 6802, Commodore, Atari, 8bit SBC For Sale
EPROM Emulator 2716-27512 for Z80, 6502, 8080, 6802, Commodore, Atari, 8bit SBC:
This EPROM emulator can be used when writing code for older 8 bit computers, like the Commodore, Atari, Tandy and similar. It will be handy when doing experiments with old Z80 or 8051 microprocessors/microcontrollers that don't support flash memory and are using EPROMs instead.
The device is open-source, and all design details can be found on https://mygeekyhobby.com page. Comes fully assembled, tested and fully working. It will come with DIP28 emulator probe that supports 2764-27512 EPROM memory(note: it is possible to also support 24 pin devices like 2716 or 2732 by keeping the top 4 pins of the 28pin emulator probe unplugged, power would have to be provided by the USB cable).
There is now an experimental firmware version that brings support for the popular EEPROM memory (28C64 and 28C256), I have reports from userssuccessfullyemulating 28C256 on Ben Eater BE6502 SBC and others similar systems that use EEPROM.
What is included in the purchase:* Professionallysoldered and tested EPROM EMULATOR NG device (HW v2.2d or 1.9d depending on stock)* DIP28 Emulator cable (Colors/design of the cable and reset hooks might be different from what is pictured)* Software and firmware is open sourcecan be found on the product website.
Firmware for the device is provided as Arduino sketch, control software running on your computer is written in python (tested on Windows, macOS and linux)
Please note:the color of the 3d printed "base plate" for the device willvary depending on the material I haveavailableat the time. I will ship either hw 1.9d or 2.2d depending on stock (both have same functionality, just use different SRAM chips).
Here is an overview of the out also a cheap Z80 "test target" I ship USPS in USA (if your location in USA is outside of normal USPS service please reach out to me for updated postage fees before you check out)Shipping from USA To Europe/UK via is expensive so I use International Standard Delivery, keep in mind the import duties and other relevant taxes are outside of my control and are buyer's responsibilities.Legal Notice:
