This used to be an IDE to Firewire 400/800 external enclosure, then changed the Bridge Board to use SATA III 6Gb/s drives.  The Board can configure 2 drives as JBOD, One Big Drive, Raid 0 and Raid 1 (instructions included).  Comes with 2 Heavy Duty tray-less HDD docks (Manual states Hot Swappable & a $45 value each), power cord, eSATA cable and USB 3.0 cable.  There are a few scratches on the top (see pics) and you'll find marks on it from Normal Wear and Tear.  Inspected the power supply, found NO bad components and voltages are within normal range.  This has been tested with Two 2TB HDD's & SSD's (using a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter).  The documentation for the bridge board states it will work with HDD's above 2TB but doesn't state how large it can go.


LED info:  Enclosure Power LED (green), HDD dock LED (blue indicates power and purple indicates HDD activity).


Other MODS done to enclosure:  Installed HDD docks which come with an LEDs (enclosure HDD LED removed), added a narrower fan for more room, installed Zalman Fan Mate for fan speed adjustment.  


This can be converted for use with old SCSI HDDs with appropriate cable.


NOTE:  NO HDD or SSD INCLUDED (any pics showing a HDD or SSD was just for testing).
