*) No need to search the web and nothing else to buy (except for floppy disks). Archive your disks, make copies, including protected disks, write out disk images from the Web, and enjoy!
Information from the Web:
Description:
"Greaseweazle allows versatile floppy drive control over USB. By extracting the raw flux transitions from a drive, any disk format can be captured and analyzed - PC, Amiga, Amstrad, PDP-11, musical instruments, industrial equipment, and more. The Greaseweazle also supports writing to floppy disks, from a range of image file formats including those commonly used for online preservation (SCP, ADF, IPF, DSK, IMG, HFE, ...)."
"Features of the V4 Adapter:
Integrates into Current WinUAE v4.9.1+ (see photos of floppy disk used with the GreaseWeazle and WinUAE)and allows use of real Amiga disks with Disk Change detection, to be read and written as part ofWinUAE'sFloppyBridgesupport.
The second is a "Gotek" floppy drive emulator that allows disk images to be manipulated from a USB thumb drive. The GreaseWeazle allows archiving of disks into "images" as accurately as possible; it can be used with WinUAE to access real Amiga disks during emulation. The Gotek can be used to literally run disk images on a retro computer in real time. Keir Fraser is the person behind both products mentioned, at least IMHO]
