The HP ProLiant DL165 G7is a high performance, low cost, ultra-dense rack server designed for memoryintensive High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, web serving and memoryintensive applications. This 1U rack (Model 590261-001) includes two AMDOpteron 6172 processors with 12 cores and 12MB L3 cache each. To support allthe processing power, it pre-installs 16GB of DDR3 memory and will allow up to384GB DDR3 memory to be installed in its 24 DIMM slots to keep up with yourbusiness growth.

The server supportseither SAS hard drives for performance or lower cost SATA hard drives forcapacity, making storage more reliable, versatile, and affordable than ever.Integrated dual gigabit Ethernet controllers with two ports each providesincreased network throughput and efficiency. The whole thing is powered by ahigh efficiency 750 Watt auto-switching, PFC power supply so the system willget all the power that it needs.
