Only problem I ever had with it was that the second drive bay (from the left) stopped recognizing any disks whatsoever a few years back. Same disk worked fine in another drive bay. Tried adding an LSI HBA and connecting the drive cage cable to that, but that showed the same problems. Makes me suspect something either in the cable or the connectors on the drive cage itself. If you can live without that drive bay, you just need to add a power supply and should have an otherwise fully functional system. I certainly had been using it like that for some years.Latest (modded) bios is installed and I also replaced the system fan in the back with a much quieter Noctua fan (you see it in one of the pictures). Together with the Pico PSU the whole system was basically silent. The 8GB RAM is ECC.
Shipping in the original HP packaging box, threw in the original installation manual too (since that was still in the box).
