HP ProLiant NAS G7 N54L Micro Server 2TB Hard Drives and WHS2011 Excellent Shape:
HP ProLiant NAS G7 N54L Micro Server 2TB Hard Drives and WHS2011 Excellent Shape!! Running and ready to use HP N54L Microserver with Windows Home Server 2011 installed and activated with total of four hard drives installed and one bay is still available to take another.
I will explain more on the drive bays, the N54L has the four drive caddie bays but there is room for a fifth drive behind what can be a CDdrive bay. The operating system drive is installed there which leaves all four drive bays available for use. The operating system drive is a 250GB drive that has WHS2011 installed on a 60GB partition and what shows as the D drive is the another partition on that drive. In the first three bays are storage drives and you can see the makes and models pictured. In total it is roughly 2.25TB of storage and you still have one drive caddie bay that can be filled. Installing a drive in the caddies is a breeze, just lift a lever slide out and install the drive with four screws and reverse the procedure. I did do a firmware/bios upgrade on this that enabled full speed on all the SATA ports and made the drive caddie bays hot swapable. It does come with a power and 6' network cable I just forgot to picture them. Also includes the WHS2011 software package which includes the activation code. Keys to the front door are in the software pack.
The box is in great shape both internally and externally and has no blemishes that I can see. I did set the IP to a fixed address that you can see in the pictures. I wrote the default Administrator credentials and password on the front sheet of the documentation included. Plug it in, hook it up to your network and it is as easy as going to the IP address with a remote desktop connection to get started. Create users and shared folders and you are ready to go.
This has been a very dependable box. WHS2011 is out of support but still works fine on the box. I manage it just using a Remote Desktop Connection and I believe that the WHS2011 Home Connector still works with Windows10. Used this as my media server and never had any problems with speed or buffering. Also makes for a great backup location or just NAS device. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
