- Draws about 28 watts at idleNOTE: I used this switch in an office space. I chose to swap out the factory fans for quiet Noctua fans. The original fans will be included in the box. For small home networks with less than 20 PoE devices, the noctua fans are probably fine. If you plan on using more than 20 PoE devices or a number of high power draw PoE devices, you would probably want to put the factory fans back in to help get more air flow and cool the device off faster.
