You will receive Knoppix 9.1 loaded on a 16 GB flash drive, tested and ready to load. Knoppix is designed to be run off a disc or flash drive as its normal operation rather than being installed to the computer's hard drive.
Each drive is handled with the utmost care. Image files are obtained only from official sources and their checksums verified. The data written to the drive is also verified.
I only use new, fully functional flash drives that meet their rated capacity. Please be aware, however, that the drive properties may show a capacity less than 16GB in your operating system, but this only reflects the size of the live system. The available capacity may also be slightly reduced due to formatting. If you would like to verify the capacity of the drive for yourself, you can do so by running a partitioning tool like GParted.
Please note that while most modern operating systems support a very wide variety of hardware, there are so many models of computer and so many hardware configurations that no operating system is fully compatible with every possible setup. It is always a good idea to do a little research, such as a web search for your computer's model no. and the operating system you wish to install, to try to verify compatibility. Lastly, while installing an operating system has become a relatively straightforward procedure, it does help to have some level of comfort with working on computers, as tasks like updating BIOS settings may be necessary.
