Description


Up for sale is a Vintage Apple PowerBook 170 JLPGA (Japanese Ladies Professional Golf Association) with charger. These are considered one of the rarest Macintosh computers ever made based on the available information, less than 400 of these were ever sold in 1994. Limited testing has been done and this machine works, but nearly 30 years old and is considered a vintage computer for collectors. Also included is a very unique and rare PowerBook 170 case.


Notes


  • This machines does suffer from a very common issue of screen tunneling. Nearly all of the PowerBook 140\'s-170\'s suffer from this issue after being on for an hours or more (see photo 8)
  • This unit is missing the red rear battery cover (nearly all of the PowerBook’s of this era are).
  • Battery is included, but does not hold a charge, like most of these vintage computer batteries.
  • The tops of the feet, as many of these older rubber pieces are starting to do, have disintegrated.
