An original Landin analog computing machine made by the Rapid Computing Company in Minneapolis, MN. It is numbered No. 1611. Based on the 1892 patent by Peter Landin. It was designed for bookkeepers and fits with contemporaneous ledgers. The condition is good with some signs of age or use. Some normal surface marks. Some wear in the plating from normal use. I\'m not an expert on how these work but the dial and sliders change the numbers about the way I would expect. It may take some finesse to dial in the numbers accurately and quickly. The original manual suggests 30 minutes of practice a day. It also comes with its original box.As found. May require recallibration or cleaning. Please refer to the photos and ask any questions prior to offerding. A unique addition to any collection.
