This is my Toshiba Tecra 700 CT vintage laptop. It works nearly perfectly except for it has no battery. This unit must be plugged into the wall to work. It has a maximum allowable amount of 48 MB of RAM. It has its stock hard drive flashed to the maximum amount that it would let me partition. It features the Pentium 120 megahertz processor. Sadly no MMX. This was an exact replica of the laptop I had as a child except for it has the better LCD screen which doesn't have any controls on it. I paid a pretty penny for it about 5 years ago. I've since moved on from retro computing and have a child. Comes with an extra hard drive. Has a compact flash card installed 4 GB. This basically doubles its storage amount. The CD ROM drive and floppy drive both work perfectly. It'll also include a PlayStation 1 controller that's been modified to work over the printer port. It's the only way you can get a game controller to work with this I've tried multiple methods. Comes with a few extra CD ROMs that you would use the controller with. I will erase all of my personal data but I will not flash the hard drive clean so that you could use the operating system that is installed. It works great and has Windows 98 installed. Any questions please feel free to message me.
It does have a small issue where sometimes the colors don't show up right on the screen I believe the ribbon cable is beginning to malfunction if you just close the lid and reopen it everything looks fine. Just an incredibly old machine! But you can relive your past with this beauty it works very well. I believe the inverter for the screen is beginning to go out as well because it whines on boot if you just change the brightness for the LCD to semi bright that "whine" goes away. Could last forever that way but I never run it for more than a few seconds I hurry up and turn the brightness down as soon as I can. I make no guarantee of the condition of this laptop and I don't accept returns.
