PLEASE NOTE: ALL GAMES ARE SOLD UNTESTED. THIS IS BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE A FLOPPY DRIVE EQUIPPED AMIGA AVAILABLE TO TEST WITH. THE LAST TIME I HAD ONE WAS ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND THEY WORKED, HOWEVER DUE TO THE NATURE OF FLOPPY DISK BASED GAMES, THIS ITEM MUST BE SOLD AS-IS AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
An atari joystick is included, as that was the customary way to play Amiga games. Many of these games are Amiga 1200 games, so you need to use the AGA Core to play them. The original floppies are included, but they are sold UNTESTED. I do not have a floppy drive to test these with anymore, so I cannot test them. They worked the last time I used them about 4 years ago, but floppies are extremely fragile and die with age. In their place, a USB drive is provided with ADF rips of all the games, so you can play them on the gotek without worrying that they'll die.
Vampire Acclerator! 68080 CPU Core + RTG Graphics!! this Amiga 1000 is fitted with an Apollo Vampire 500 V2 Accelerator card. This card normally doesn't fit into the Amiga 1000, so a Wing Board riser has been created for it to fit. This Accelerator contains an FPGA CPU on it, which can be flashed with Cores to transform the Amiga 1000. You can choose between a fictional 68080 CPU core at 85Mhz, with an RTG graphics core, or you can download the AGA Gold Core, which turns the Amiga 1000 into an Amiga 1200 with an AGA chipset. The 68080 CPU Core is significantly faster than any other Amiga, and the RTG graphics lets it run the top of the line Amiga games like Wipeout, Quake, and Alien Breed 3D II. The AGA Core presents a maxed out Amiga 1200 with an upgraded CPU. Both cores offer 128 MB of memory to the Amiga, far beyond the stock.
Use REAL Amiga Hardware, not is not just an FPGA crammed into your Amiga 1000, your real Amiga hardware is still used! In this configuration, it operates on Dual screens, one through an HDMI port, and one through the original Video Out port. You can configure the Amiga to run games and software that use only the original hardware to output through the original chipset, while simultaneously displaying a second screen through HDMI. See the video for demonstration!
No more Failing Floppy Drive! USB Gotek Replacement original failing Floppy Drive has been removed and a Gotek drive has been installed in its place. This device lets you emulate a floppy drive hardware. From the Amiga's perspective, it's the exact same thing as the original drive. However, instead of floppies, you use a USB drive which you load with ADF files, which are Amiga Floppy Images. This lets you easily transfer data between this machine and a modern PC running WinUAE.
Modern Pico-PSU + High capacity external Power of the most common points of failure for these old Amiga computers is the ancient power supply inside of them. They are almost 40 years old by now and usually need to be completely rebuilt. They also only provide enough power for a bare Amiga 1000 and produce an enormous amount of heat. In its place, a Pico-PSU has been built and installed inside! The Pico-PSU allows the Amiga to use ATX power supplies. An additional adapter has been built to turn an external power brick into an ATX connection. This allows the entire Amiga to be powered by an external Power supply which is included! This high-capacity external power supply is brand new and provides ample power to run the Vampire Accelerator plus the gotek plus any other sort of peripherals you'd want on the Amiga. It is external so, if it ever fails, replacing it is as simple as matching the connector and voltage. Plus no more heat inside the Amiga means it runs much cooler, even without fan! Whisper quiet! The original Amiga power switch still works as normal!
Compact Flash Hardrive 4GB Flash Card is included. This card is perfect for running operating systems directly on the Amiga 1000, so you don't need a boot floppy. Thanks to the Accelerator Card, it can load any version of Kickstart internally, so you can run more modern version of the Amiga OS. This harddrive works with WHDLoad, allowing you to run any game in the Amiga library as though it was a harddrive, even games which originally did not let you install them to the hard drive. This eliminates disk swapping in games (although you can still run the original ADF through the gotek if you want to actually swap disks)
PS/2 Keyboard is a PS/2 Keyboard chosen specifically to fit into the bay, along with an Amiga to PS/2 keyboard converter cable. The Amiga line of computers used a proprietary keyboard standard, and the Amiga 1000 is particularly hard to get keyboards working because it used a different design from the rest. A hardware converter plus the phone-cord style cable is provided to allow any modern PS/2 keyboard to work on the Amiga like an actual commodore one! These kinds of converters are extremely rare and very sought after in Amiga communities! Normally, A1000 owners resort to using a chain of dongles, but this is an all-in-one solution!
HDMI + NSTC Composite Video, Dual monitor HDMI port is connected to a ribbon on the back of the computer which is tacked onto the case using a bit of glue tac. It is not harmful and can be removed. The original Composite Video out port is also on the Amiga. This is an NTSC model Amiga, so it outputs to American TVs by default in color. The HDMI out can adjust to frequencies to play PAL titles on modern displays. Both displays are active during computer usage and display different things!
Emergency USB Blaster keeps your accelerator emergency, if your Apollo Accelerator is bricked during a faulty core change, you can manually reflash the core using an external computer and a USB Blaster. The needed USB Blaster is included in this bundle.
Condition---------------The condition of the Amiga 1000 is generally good. The front panel is included, but one of the tabs has snapped off. It still fits snuggly and does not fall out. The side car port cover is missing. Additionally, a bit of the plastic lip on the bottom lid of the case next to the side-car port is missing, including the locking tab, so you can lift that end of the case up if you're not careful. The keyboard is basically brand new. The Mouse is the original amiga 1000 mouse, not the later models. This has the angled connector, which intends to connect to the side of the A1000. Note that the floppy-drive eject button was actually a part of the original floppy drive, not the case. A replacement, dummy floppy drive eject button has been inserted to avoid an open hole in the front of the case, but it is non-functional. It is held in place internally.
Full Insurance on shipping, USA am a very long time collector, who has sold many high dollar items, including other Amiga systems. This is a lot of rare hardware, and many big boxes, so it will need to be shipped in a large box. I have tried to lower shipping as much as possible, but it's simply not possible to ship this much stuff SAFELY without spending money. I take packaging and shipping extremely seriously, especially for high dollar items. I give the service I would expect. That includes me taking out a full insurance package on every item shipped at my own expense. This give both the buyer and myself peace of mind. Please buy with confidence!!
An Amiga Collection in one buy!! From one collector to this is a dream Amiga collection. This was my pride and joy, I put this together and maintained it and kept it in great shape for decades. Basically everything here has long been out of print, including the Vampire Accelerator cards (and even when they were in production, you would have to wait years to get one). Normally, the only other upgrade path to the Amiga 1000 is the Phoenix board, which involves replacing parts of the Amiga 1000 with the guts of a spare Amiga 1200. This is basically the only REAL way to upgrade an Amiga 1000 with a retail accelerator. You won't see a complete bundle like this on for a long while. It is basically an instant Amiga collection.
Selling this hurts, I loved this computer. It was heavily used, and I wrote Amiga demos on this in AsmONE. I used to listen to Amiga chiptune music. I upgraded this baby over the years piece by piece, but it's been in use since it was new. The Amiga is a brilliant machine, and this deserves a good home.
BONUS: This model Amiga has the signatures of all the original Amiga hardware designers on the underside, including Jay Miner. Only the very first run of Amigas had this! This model was so old, the kickstart wasn't in ROM, it ran from Floppy, and thus needed a launch-model only Daughter board in the case! This is one of the first Amigas ever produced!
PLEASE NOTE: This is a 40 year old computer. Although it has been taken care of extensively and maintained and modified by someone with experience, this must be sold AS-IS due to the nature of the old hardware. Please be aware that this shows signs of being 40 years old, albeit up-kept well. See pictures provided for details and conditions of the items. Please ask questions if you have any, I'd rather be upfront and honest about the condition of something like this considering the price of this listing. Serious inquiries only, please.
