For years this sound card lay unused on the shelf but finally I got it working. Previously I tried to make Windows 98 recognize it without success. Now with DOS, Windows 3.1 and the correct drivers I made progress. After installation and configuration every part of the card is working properly.This is an interesting, somewhat rare early General MIDI compatible wavetable card with 128KB sample memory. It also has Sound Blaster compatibility and a 28.8k modem on board. The MWAVE was usually sold in prebuilt systems as an all around solution. While it certainly takes only one ISA slot it also uses up all the IRQs which a sound card, wavetable and modem would need.
The sound quality is mixed. The SB compatibility sounds good but the wavetable has some really messed up instruments. I suppose it could be upgraded since the card has RAM (not ROM) and there might be better patches but I didn't spend that much time experimenting.

The items are safely packaged in antistatic bag, bubble wrap and cardboard boxes taking into account the size and weight of the hardware and the destination country.
