TheApple ///wasa business-oriented personal computer produced andreleased in 1980. It was intended as the "business computer" successor to theApple IIandincluded features business users wanted including a true typewriter-style keyboard with upper and lowercase letters and an 80-column display.

The Apple /// was announced on May 19, 1980, and released in late November that year. Stability issues required a design overhaul and a recall of the first 14,000 machines produced. The Apple /// was formally reintroduced on November 9, 1981 and discontinued on April 24, 1984. The final Apple /// model, the /// Plus, was dropped from the Apple product line in September 1985.
