A Classic Computer. This was Compaq\'s first computer and the first one using a IBM compatible BIOS which the reverse engineered using a clean room. If you ever saw \'Halt and Catch Fire\" it\'s pretty much this story.
Computer turns on, ask to insert a floopy for the OS. I don\'t have a MS-DOS 5 1/4 disc to test. Most likely the heads on the disk drives will need to be cleaned before using.
I will be packing box within box to protect it and as much cushion as possible. This item is heavy at 31 pound. UPS ground would probably be the cheapest service.
This is a definite piece of computer history. I\'ve own it for 25 years hoping one day I\'d get to mess around with it but never found the time and now I need space for other things. Hoping this goes to a good home!
