Vintage 1997 Matrox Millennium PCI VGA graphics card, 8MB WRAM with MIL/M006 For Sale
Vintage 1997 Matrox Millennium PCI VGA graphics card, 8MB WRAM with MIL/M006:
Here is an early PCI graphics card made in the USA in 1997: the original Matrox Millennium. It uses 8MB of WRAM memory, 2MB on the card and another 6MB with Matrox' scarce MGA-MIL/M006 proprietary memory expansion daughtercard. It is the second revision, with a graphics processor called MGA-2064W-R3, which Matrox previously called IS-STORM-R2. This particular card performs perfectly in a Pentium 4 system under DOS and Windows 3.1. However, it has problems in a Phenom II x4 system running Windows 10. When I removed the memory daughtercard, I got only a black area covering the bottom 30% of the monitor under Windows 10. When the daughtercard is installed in the newer system, I get a fuil display, but with lots of vertical lines and too much blue. I don't have another Matrox Millenium with which to test the memory daughtercard. All I know is that this is the first 6MB card I have found in over ten years, during which I've sold dozens of similar 2MB cards, many of which had a 2MB daughtercard.
I offer a 30 day return privilege and free shipping to any U.S. zip code.
