Introduced with the Quadra 660AV and 840AV. This modem plugs into the yellow GeoPort connector on Macintosh computers. This port replaces the modem and or printer port with 9 pins instead of 8 pin serial. The 9th pin provides 5 volts to power Geoport devices. The port is backwards compatible with regular 8 pin devices and cables.
