Vintage Apple Macintosh 512Ke M0001E 1985 Computer Keyboard Mouse Floppy WORKS:
$369.00

ABOUT: For your consideration is an Original "fat" Macintosh 512k"e" with keyboard and mouse, furnished with a custom double-sided floppy disk restored with Macintosh System 6! This is a "booting project", this unit is an excellent candidate for restore.
This unit powers on and has tested functional, but is sold as a PROJECT. By purchasing this unit, you agree that you are an enthusiast or collector, and that you are willing to take on the many weird responsibilities of maintaining vintage computer tech, including capacitor replacement, floppy drive rebuilding, and other weird and varied maintenance Apple Macintosh Model M0001E (An early 512Ke variant, meaning it has an 800K dual-sided floppy drive but retains the normal "512K" branding)• 512K RAM, fixed• 800K Apple Floppy drive, tested to read both 400K and 800K floppies (eject does not work, disk has be ejected with a pin)• Original Apple M0110 Keyboard, tested working• 1986 model Apple M0100 "platinum" mouse, in reasonably matching yellowed condition• Freshly formatted and tested 800K floppy restored with my custom System 6 install + MacPaint, Teachtext, HDSC Setup, and Tetris• Gray/white C13 power cord included• Retro Tamrac TekSeries bag, specifically shaped to fit compact This Macintosh was tested to power on, boot from the internal floppy, andfunction as a computer once booted. Keyboard was tested with Notepad, and the mouse was tested to function in both X and Y axis. As noted above, the floppy drive does NOT eject, but a jeweler's screwdriver or paper clip can quickly remove the disk. This Mac was tested to read BOTH 400k and 800k boot disks. I would consider the floppy drive "tired", so consider when purchasing that this drive will eventually need to be rebuilt with new belts.CONDITION:This 512Ke presents very nicely with medium levels of UV yellowing, but no gross shed or garage grime and no signs of abuse. The unit was carefully inspected, including removing the outer case to provide the above photos of the analog board, CRT, and bottom of logic board. This system appears to have never been opened, so I did not remove the logic board from the chassis. The backup battery compartment does display a little bit of calcium buildup on the battery contacts, but not too bad! All have some dust but are in otherwise clean, vintage, unrestored This is a VINTAGE computer, the buyer accepts the many variables and responsibilities for vintage PC ownership, and is purchasing this unit as a curiosity, or with the intention of working through any future issues that may arise, including potential capacitorreplacement and floppy drive rebuild. This computer will be carefully packaged for shipment and is guaranteed to arrive as shown in the photos, booting to a working floppy. NO additional promises/warranties are offered, NO guarantees of longevity are offered.
THIS UNIT CANNOT SHIP TO AN APO/FPO or PO BOX due to fragility and size.
**If you are offerding on this unit through 's Global Shipping Program, please note that it is packaged for safe US domestic service ONLY and I cannot guarantee that will safely re-package this for overseas travel at their depot. **
