ABOUT: For your consideration is a complete kit of original Snow White-era Apple peripherals, including the legendary first-ever Apple ADB Keyboard and mouse, along with a unique straight cable. These units have been stored in my personal peripheral collection and are being offered to complete your vintage Mac setup!
INCLUDED:Apple KeyboardA9M0330(ALPS WHITE w/ SMK mount),Apple Desktop Bus MouseG5431 (heavy grey ball version), regular length coiled This combo is inexcellent"daily driver" condition, meaning it's ready to use in subjectively better than average condition with no cracks or abuse. The keyboard has less than average yellowing with a strong platinum color that will match a non-yellowed 80's Mac or IIgs nicely. Both units have scuffing and overall wear but present well and are in clean shape with no large cracks or signs of abuse.Keyfaces have been sanitized with isopropyl so they keyboard can be used right away, you will still find some light grime and places needing cleanup on the key faces, sides of the keys, and on the chassis.
TESTING: Both keyboard and mouse were tested with a Mac Powerbook 170 using System 7.5, where they were found to work without issue. All keys were individually checked and the unit was given a brief typing test, where it was found to have have no dead keys. The Alps White "tactile" switches have a very crisp and solid feel (more clicky than a modern Cherry Brown or other modern tactile switch). The keyboard has no serious inconsistencies between keystrokes, and no felt stickiness or slow to react keys. The mouse ball was tested to track smoothly in both the X and Y This is a vintage set of used peripherals and they will show signs of use as shown in photos and described above. These units are compatible with every classic Mac with ADB from the SE to the Yosemite B&W G3, and modern Macs with an iMate or a kit-built USB adapter (not included).
