Vintage Apple Macintosh SE FDHD 4MB RAM, bad hard drive, boots from diskette:
$125.00

Here is a 35-year-old compact Macintosh which came to me with a Kensington anti-glare screen protector. This is one of the last Macintosh SE systems Apple produced, with a 3.5" floppy drive that they called a "SuperDrive"
When I first tested this system, it booted up from a 40MB SCSI hard drive into Mac OS 7.0. The second time I powered it on, it never got past the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen. Since then, it has failed to boot from the hard drive. However, the floppy drive allows me to boot from an 800K diskette. I was able to format and write to a 1.44MB diskette as well. The Mac SE uses an 8 MHz Motorola 68000 processor with a 16bit data bus. RAM has been upgraded to the maximum of 4MB. The 9" monochrome monitor seems to have full brightness.I have not opened up the case, but I know that the 1/2 size AA battery inside does not hold date, time, or other preferences.I am happy to answer any questions about this system before your purchase. You will receive the exact hardware pictured here (but no keyboard, mouse, or cables).
I offer a 30 day return privilege, but return shipping is at the buyer's expense. Local pickup in zip code 60438 is free. Shipping charges are calculated by with no handling charge.
