For sale is an Asus P3C2000 motherboard based on the Intel 820 chipset. This model only accepts SDRAM modules. The board comes with a 600MHz Pentium III CPU, designed for use with a 133MHz front side bus such as this board. If you try to install it in a 440BX motherboard, it\'s going to run at a slower speed unless you overclock that board beyond its official specification.This motherboard has been tested with Windows 98 and is working. Sometimes, you may find the system complains about a keyboard or mouse not being connected. This is a physical issue I\'ve run into. If you are unable to use the keyboard or mouse, try pushing the connection in tighter. Or, you could opt to use a USB mouse instead.The motherboard has one AGP Pro slot (with a protective tab kept in place for installing normal AGP cards), five PCI slots, and one ISA slot. The rear I/O layout is standard, and can fit most I/O shields from the late 90\'s to early 2000\'s.It is recommended that you install PC100 SDRAM in this board. The Intel 820 chipset does not officially support PC133 memory, as it was trying to push for RDRAM around this time, which this board ironically does not have any slots for.I\'ve updated the BIOS to the latest stable version from May 2000. There are newer beta BIOS releases from as late as August 2001, but I am not willing to assess their stability on this board.This board will be shipped with the CPU detached. You\'ll need to attach a retention bracket to the board in order to secure the CPU when that is inserted; one is not included.
