Vintage Atari 1200XL bundle – Games, Modem, Recorder, Printer – Used, Very Good Condition

I am the original owner; I received the 1200 XL as a Christmas gift in the 80’s.

Purchased by my parents at a Lazarus (a now defunct department store) for $349.

Price sticker is still attached on the side of the box.

Used, but in Very Good Condition. Non-smoking home.

Payment: Paypal only. *** No Returns ***. Sold in as-is condition.
Shipping: Shipping to continental United States only.

This listing includes the following:

1) Atari 1200 XL
In working condition. Some of the keyboard keys were unresponsive at first, but the more I tapped on them and used them the more easily they worked. Please take a look at the picture indicating that all keys are in working condition.

Includes: box in worn condition with some tears, BASIC programming language cartridge, power supply, daisy chain cable, and cable to attach to the cable input of your TV.

I am also including 2 adapters (1 RCA Female to Coax F-Type Male Adapter & 1 Coax F-Type Female to RCA Male Adapter) that will allow you to quickly attach the 1200 XL to your modern TV. I tested the computer on my Samsung 1080p digital TV with no problems (once I had the right adapter, which is included). You will only need to use 1 of the adapters, but I wanted to include both to ensure your satisfaction and that you’re able to use it as quickly as possible.

1) Atari 410 Program Recorder – In working condition
I was able to load the Zaxxon cassette game successfully & play it. The lid for the cassette deck is broken.

1) Atari 1030 Modem - Unknown working condition.
Includes power supply. No easy way for me to test this one.

1) Atari 1020 Color Printer (mainly for graphing) - Unknown working condition.
Includes power supply, daisy cable, and cassette. No easy way for me to test this one.

I am sure the ink cartridges will need to be replaced in order to test & get it to work.

2) Games (Cartridge based) – Both in working condition
+ Temple of Apshai – no manual, still fun, wish this simple game would be released on the PC, PS4, and/or Xbox. Press the “Start” button to arm your weapon, press the “Select” button to cycle through abilities (Keys, Search for secret doors, Look for traps, Inventory, etc.) and press “Options” button to use items you’ve picked up.

+ Grid Runner – Similar to Centipede

9) Games (Disc based) – Unknown working condition
No easy way for me to test these; I do not have an Atari disc drive available.
The last time they were played (decades ago), I remember the following working:

+ Ultima III – No box. Awesome game from Origin. How do you recapture the magic???

+ Ultima IV – With box, cloth map, metal ankh, and manuals

+ Archon –No box/packaging; if you remember it looked like the cover for a heavy-metal album.

+ Archon II: Adept – No box. Competent sequel

+ Enchanter – No box. Text based game by Infocom (similar to Zork).

+ Realms of Impossibility - Great cooperative 2-player game from Electronic Arts.

Wish this one would be re-created on PC, PS4, and/or Xbox)

+ Karateka – With instruction sheet, no box

+ Lords of Conquest (EA game)

+ Master Type – includes manual, no box. (A typing tutor game).
2) Games (Disc based) – Not working
I don’t believe these games will work due to the crappy Indus GT disk drive that I owned.

- Jupiter Mission 1999 – With box, manuals, and discs, but as mentioned I believe my disc drive damaged at least one of the discs.

- Questron – With box and manual. Great game from Strategic Simulations Inc (SSI), but as mentioned I believe my disc drive damaged at least one of the discs.

1) Game (Cassette based) – Working condition
+ Zaxxon – With box & instructions. Was able to successfully load via the 410 Player/Recorder on 3 attempts.

1) Game (Cassette based) – Not working
- The Crypts of Plumbous – With box & instructions.
Not sure if it’s working; was not able to load after 2 attempts – ran out of patience.

2) Books
+ Inside Atari Basic by Bill Carris
+ The Elementary Atari by William B. Sanders

These started me on programming. Love them because they introduced me to the intellectual joys of programming & problem solving.

2) Joysticks
I know that at least one is working. Forgot to try the second before boxing back up.

Miscellaneous:
1 Disc with DOS 2.0 - not original – a copy
1 Disc with DOS 2.5 - not original – a copy
1 Disc with AMIS BBS – not original - a copy (for use with the 1030 modem)

Payment: Paypal only. *** No Returns ***. Sold in as-is condition.
Shipping: Shipping to continental United States only. Thanks for looking. Have a great day!
