Vintage Collectible Apple PowerBook 5300CE with Accessories | Nonfunctional :
$250.00

Vintage Apple Macintosh PowerBook 5300ce from an old collection. Device powers on but cannot boot due to issue with drive -- see photo. Device only powers on when plugged in. Likely this machine requires a new hard drive and battery to get back to full working condition.

Product is in good aesthetic condition with a crack in the plastic case on the bottom right of the case -- see photo.

Includes several accessories, including a power supply, a Farallon Ethernet PC Card, a Megahertz Modem CruiseCard 28.8, a floppy drive, and an accessory holder.

I don\'t know enough about this system to troubleshoot further, but if there are any questions I can answer please let me know.

The Apple Macintosh PowerBook 5300ce/117 features a 117 MHz PowerPC 603e processor, 32 MB of RAM, and a 1.2 GB hard drive in a portable black case with an 800x600 10.4\" color active-matrix display.

The PowerBook 5300c/100 supports 16-bit color on the built-in display and also can support up-to 16-bit color on an external monitor with the installation of a series-specific video card.

Although the PowerBook 5300 series heralded a couple of firsts -- it was the first PowerBook line to have PowerPC processors and \"hot swappable\" drive bays -- it was initially plagued by battery and quality problems and required \"reworking\" by Apple to perform well.
