This iconic home computer, released in the early 1980s, remains a beloved favorite among retro enthusiasts, collectors, and gamers.   • Fully Functional: We’ve meticulously tested every aspect of this Commodore 64 to ensure it’s in perfect working order. From loading games to running BASIC programs, it’s ready to transport you back to the golden age of computing. We replaced the VIC-II (Video Interface Board II)_6567R56A ceramic version with the more reliable later CBM black epoxy case 6567R8 since it was starting to show signs of failure.
  • Modern PAL replacement: This unit required a new PAL chip, so we installed a fully compatible, fully tested PAL replacement that runs coolerto ensure longevity.
  • Updated Power Supply (Input Voltage 120V Only): Say goodbye to old, unreliable power bricks that is a ticking time bomb! Our Commodore 64 comes with anewly updated power supplyfeaturing modern components but using the original, classic black casing. No more worries about voltage fluctuations, unstable connections and the related board damage.
  • All of the main chips (6526, Basic, Character, Kernel, SID, VIC-II) that have not been replaced with cooler modern replacements have heat sinks to help preserve them and keep them cool.
  • Cleaned and Verified: We’ve given this C64 a thorough cleaning, inside and out. Dust, grime, and decades-old residue have been banished, leaving you with a pristine machine.
  • Keyboard has full cleaning and testing: We completely disassembled the keyboard, cleaned each contact pad, cleaned each key and renewed them individually (Recapped it is often referred to).
  • Burn-in: We burned this in overnight to cycling on a586220+Diagnostic cartridge and harness, to ensure it was stable and functional

Condition and Authenticity:

This Commodore 64 is ingood vintage condition. It shows minor signs of wear consistent with its age, but nothing that detracts from its charm. The iconic beige case, and the satisfying clack of the keyboard which have also been cleaned and brightened - all preserved for your enjoyment.
