For your consideration is a Compaq Presario 4258 retro PC tower with the following specs:
Pentium MMX 233mhz processor
64mb RAM
2.4gb HDD
CD-ROM
US Robotics modem
Integrated sound
Integrated video
Comes with power cable
Tower has a clean install of Windows 2000 with SP4. I tried doing Windows 98SE however there was some sort of hardware resource conflict that kept causing crashes and I couldn’t figure it out. Windows 2000 handles whatever the issue was just fine and seems to run stable. NOTE: there is only 1 RAM slot on the motherboard. I tried a 128mb upgrade stick of PC100 but it didn’t recognize it so it probably needs PC66 which I don’t have. Limited testing performed, not all ports/functions tested. Machine is remarkably clean and in very good condition for the age.
Listing is for computer tower and power cable only, nothing else included. It comes without saying, this is a retro item. It is not at all suitable for modern computing tasks. It is intended for a retro PC enthusiast/hobbyist or collector.
