Vintage Corvus Systems hard disk drive interface for Apple II + 1980 Paddleboard:
$82.00

Here are two items Apple II enthusiasts do not find on very often. Both were made by Corvus Systems in the early 1980s. Both have a 1980 copyright date.
The first is a hard disk interface for an Apple II/II+/IIe made in late 1981 or early 1982 (The newest chip is dated the 44th week of 1981). It uses a straight-through 34-pin ribbon cable to connect directly to a Corvus external 5MB or 10MB hard drive. And has a removable ROM chip. I\'ll guess that the ROM is newer than the circuit board. The board was printed as revision B, but someone wrote an E underneath it.
This is not the more common Corvus Transporter network interface (which I have listed separately on ) The second item is called a Corvus Systems Paddleboard, 8001 Rev. F. It has four red switches labeled LSI, MUX, FMT and RESET plus three red l.e.d.s labeled FAIL, ACT[ivity], and RDY {for ready}. The slot connector is unknown to me: 14 gold fingers on each side in groups of 10 and 4 with a large notch. I would be happy if someone reading this could let me know into what this paddleboard connects. Corvus Systems was the first to extend Apple\'s operating system for a hard drive. Their first drives in the early 1980s were 5MB or 10MB, and their largest were 126MB in 1987, when the company filed for bankruptcy. They made Omninet interface cards for IBM PCs, S100 bus CP/M systems, Tandy TRS-80 systems, Atari 800 as well as Apple II, and even a cable for an early Macintosh. However, I believe that the only interface cards connecting their first hard drives were these, made only for Apple II systems.I offer a 30 day return privilege and free USPS shipping to any U.S. zip code
