Vintage 1989 Apple Macintosh Portable M5120 PARTIALLY WORKING.


For sale is the Non-Backlit model Macintosh Portable. The case itself is in decent shape, some scuffs and scratches that might come out with some extra elbow grease, and is fairly white for its vintage age! The bottom case has received some damage and is cracked. The handle also has a stress fracture but works just fine! The computer boots up on the battery alone, also with the charger, and chimes loudly but sharply goes to static. The keyboard work flawlessly but, the trackball has troubles moving up/left/and right. The sound on the computer works for a brief moment and then you can only faintly hear it operate even at level 7. The reset/interrupt buttons work. The screen powers with some dead pixels in the lower right corner and has a tunneling effect on the bottom left corner(see photos). The motherboard has been fully recapped awhile ago and does not include a rechargeable battery. It has been throughly cleaned and all pads are in great shape. The clock battery pins have been corroded a bit. The floppy drive accepts, reads, writes, and ejects. It can boot directly off the floppy drive. The external SCSI port has been tested!
