For sale is a 4MB Matrox Mystique video card, from 1996.
This is the maximum amount of onboard memory available.
These cards are absolutely amazing!Matrox cards are known for their image quality, and certainly high resolution support. This makes them nearly Choice Number One for 2D cards in vintage computers, even if you decide to use a different 3D accelerator; though, I think after reading this listing, you'll consider the Mystique for your primary 3D card, as well.
This card, as old as it is, supports up to 1600X1200 resolution. I was a Matrox guy during the era, myself, and I've had several of their cards from the Mystique through the Millennium 2 and the Mystique 220. That puts me in a unique position to describe the Matrox experience.
The first thing you'll notice, in some games, are expanded resolution choices. At the time, highly Matrox-optimized titles, and titles with high resolution support in general, looked dramatically different on a Matrox card than the competition. Increased color depth, higher resolution, and finer display characteristics made owners into enthusiasts.
So far as game compatibility goes, it's nowhere near as "bad" as people seem to believe. It'll run just about anything out there, and it's only missing a few 3D effects. It just works. Every card from the era was missing something or another. You had to decide if you wanted outright blistering speed, or simply the best graphics possible. This is for the people who chose image quality.

Unfortunately, this is missing the game CDs, which would have come with Mechwarrior 2, Destruction Derby 2, and Scorched Planet; all wonderful titles that flex all of the display capabilities of the Matrox Mystique to the max. Luckily for you, these discs pop up on fairly frequently, and are cheap to purchase.
You'll be able to play these games one way or another, if you're willing to buy a used CD or two. There's only one empty space in the sleeve but, if I recall correctly, the games were on individual discs; meaning a sleeve would be missing. Just cruise for Matrox titles and you'll find them eventually. I've seen them many times.
