$329.00

ABOUT:For your consideration is another piece from my collection of retro gaming systems, a 300mhz Power Macintosh G3\"Gossamer\"tower, a system perfect for MacOS 9 retro gaming! This curated piece has been thoughtfully restored with my personal app, game, and music backup from 2001, making this machine a time capsule system ready to enjoy and reminisce! Please remember that, while I am a retro tech enthusiast, I am not an expert on the specifics of any given piece of retro technology. Some small components may be missing that I am not familiar with, so please ask any questions BEFORE offerding. This is a piece of VINTAGE 1998 technology, offerding on it constitutes an interest to tinker with the understanding of nearly guaranteed random hardware issues and unexpected hurdles common to retro technology.

• Original Appledesign ADB Keyboard• Original Apple ADB Mouse II• OEM-style gray power cordPLEASE NOTE:This computer has limited resolutions compared to a modern PC or Mac, and requires a VGA LCD or CRT monitor capable of scanning classic 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions such as 1024x768 @ 75hz. If you do not have such a monitor, I recommend the various excellent and cheap Dell options such as P1907Fp, P1914Sf, P1917S, and many / TESTING:This Mac is in overall very good shape for the age, with only minor scuffing to the chassis and some light dust, but no severe yellowing of the case plastics, and no cracks or signs of brittle plastics!Internal sound tested working. Power supply and case/cpu fan tested working.
The internal CD works and was tested to install MacOS9, but is is VERY VERY LOUD.
This Mac was freshly installed with MacOS 9.2.1 via the internal CD-ROM drive (hard drive was partitioned into an 8GB boot drive and a 30GB data drive), updated to 9.2.2, and restored with a large collection of apps and games shown in the photos above (Marathon!) Tower was tested to boot multiple apps, play games such as PacMac Deluxe, Marathon II, and Quake, and listen to MP3s using iTunes This is a used, vintage PC that is guaranteed to arrive as described and photographed, but offered otherwise ASIS for enthusiast collecting. It is not a modern computer and may require tinkering to findcompatiblecomponents and get some tasks fully functioning. I am offering this unit to another enthusiast with theunderstanding that the buyer is willing toundertake responsibility for the many repair and maintenance variables that come with antique computer components including such delicate tasks as hardware repair and maintenance of a 25 year old system, and more simple stuff like getting all the vintage abandonware software running, all part of the fun of vintage computers! Thanks for looking!
