You are buying a vintage 2-gigbyte Digital Equipment Corporation 5.25" SCSI hard drive reformatted for Apple Macintosh computers and loaded with software.
This 1950MB 5.25" SCSI hard drive was made by Digital Equipment Corporation. It has been reformatted for Macintosh and was used for some time as a primary drive on one of my Macs. It has 394MB of MAC software loaded, including System 9.2.2, leaving about 1.5GB of space available for your stuff. This drive can run on any voltage from 100 to 240VAC at 50 or 60 HZ. It's a near zero-footprint (ZFP) drive, meaning it fits nicely under Apple's vintage all-in-one Macs (see photo 2).This drive is working. Photo 3 shows the drive icon and info mounted on an SE desktop. I believe this drive can boot System 9.2.2, but of course an SE can't run that system. These old 5.25" 5400 RPM drives just seem to run forever ("Big Wheels Keep on Turning..."). Slow but reliable. The listing includes a power cord, but no SCSI cable or terminator. Best if you choose the cable type and length to match what you need.I have been collecting and restoring vintage computers for a long time. Please see my other sales forvintage Macs andMac parts, plus occasional other vintage computing items.
