Here is a working Packard Bell motherboard, from that company's heyday, almost 30 years ago. Packard Bell had a knack for placing inexpensive components on their motherboards while giving reasonably current technology in a home computer that was affordable to an average family. This motherboard was used in several Packard Bell systems named Legend 610, Executive 486SX, or other names depending on which large consumer electronics retailer sold them. It has a soldered down Intel 486SX CPU running at 25 MHz, an Oak OTI077 VGA chip and 512KB of video RAM (upgradeable to 1MB), 4MB of soldered-down fast page mode RAM, upgradeable to either 5MB, 8MB or 20MB with four empty 30-pin SIMM sockets, and more empty sockets for L2 static RAM cacheBuyer will receive the exact motherboard, CPU, and modem pictured here, but without any expansion slots, cards, power supply or monitor. I have seen it boot consistently from floppy or an IDE hard drive with DOS and Windows 3.1.I am happy to answer questions from interested buyers. I offer a 30 day return privilege and free shipping to any U.S. zip code.
