I added this SSD along with a dual core processor to an old Acer 3680 laptop and, WOW, what a difference. The old obsolete computer now starts up Windows 7 Professional in about 15 seconds and load the Opera web browser in the blink of an eye. A SSD is, I think, the most "Bang For The Buck" upgrade you can do.

Blazing with speed my asus P8 z77-v pro joined with intel i5-3570k running at 4.2ghz overclocked took the samsung 128gb 830 series very well..I just connected the wires and she was seen in the bios immediately. it really is amazing when i hit the power button and windows 7 soon to be 8 boots up in less than 10 sec its like my computer was jogging on the treadmill ....now she running thru the streets. great buy you will not be disappointed. but dont go by my words try for yourself.......
First of all, there are faster SSD's out there such as OCZ's vertex 4, so if pure performance is your goal, this is not for you. What the samsung offers is a fine balance between performance and reliability. Samsung owns the end to end supply chain for the most critical parts within this SSD, so the quality is bar none. I boot into win7 within 5 seconds and this is on an older g630 intel lenovo system. Loads diablo 3 levels without lag too :)
Great deal, use this disk and youll have no problems with OS...you can use it like a external drive, perfect for not having risk of bumpings and all, like other HDD that have a lens, that if got bumped can seriously harm the drive...not here, is Super resistant and the marvelous speed is outstanding!!! A little expensive, but is Worth it!
