HP's ProCurve Series Switch delivers managed PoE networking without a hiccup.As part of the acclaimed 2520 series, this switch series provides well-rounded and reliable PoE cable connectivity. The ProCurve switch series features 24 Ethernet interfaces with RJ-45 ports and standard Layer 2 switch technology. Both Gigabit Ethernet and Fast Ethernet speeds of 100 Mbps are supported in every port in this series. This switch is compatible with fiber and copper connections, including Gigabit SX and Gigabit LX cable series. Like all switches in this series, the J9299A features Auto-MDIX for crossover cable compatibility on all ports. The switch can provide up to 15.4 W of power per port to any IEEE 802.3af-compliant device type. The ports on this switch series even support devices before PoE was standardized.Despite its robust options, the Hewlett Packard J9299A 2520G series switch is easy to configure. Administrators can choose their preferred type of entry on this series switch. Use the built-in web GUI interface, type with a command line, or use your preferred networking software. Any network management utility that uses SNMPv2/SNMPv3 is supported. Like all HP ProCurve series switches, this switch features HP PCM integration for even simpler configuration. The ProCurve switch series also offers virtual stacking, port mirroring, and reliable logging. Combined with the switch's LED indicators, the switch series makes it easy to track and adjust network activity.The 2520G-24-PoE switch makes it simple to customize your QoS, or Quality of Service, settings to ensure reliable connection for every device. As part of the 2520G series, this switch offers selectable queue configuration and IEEE 802.1 p traffic prioritization. You can use this switch series to set IP or DSCP precedence. Full-duplex operation is always stable with this switch series' built-in flow control. This ensures that your series switch ports are always performing at their best.This 2520 series switch is compact and can be mounted in a rack or on the wall, which makes cable management much easier. It is also one of the quietest series switches available. ProCurve series variable-speed fans are built into the switch ports housing to offer cool, quiet operation with IEEE compliance. The switch also automatically detects when no cable link is made on a particular series port and lowers power consumption.For a quiet but effective business network, the HP 2520 series switches are a fantastic choice.
