    Amazed at How Well These Hold Up!

    Despite being heavily used in its' prime, my Macintosh SE has outlived numerous PCs, all of which were a fraction of the Macintosh SE's age. Obviously this thing is a dinosaur and won't suffice in the modern world, however, its' a cool edition to any collection and a fun quirky computer for basic word processing (in 80's and early 90's standards.) The keyboard is creaky and cumbersome to type on, yet I find the original mouse to be far more ergonomic than the newer mice and trackpads frequently used today. My hand didn't cramp up like it does when I use the Magic Mouse 2 or a trackpad. One con is these yellow fairly easily! I made the mistake of letting mine sit uncovered, in a room with a window.     Probably The Hardiest Old Mac of Them All

    Some old Compact Macs don't hold up well over time. The SE seems to have been built to be the Energizer Bunny of the lot. In my years of collecting them, very few have been any trouble for me. They just worked. I did have problems with hard drives and floppy drives not working or stopping working in the dozen or more I've owned, but nearly all my SEs have been solid performers.
