Knoppix has packed a great deal of user applications into a 700 megabyte CD. There's even more on the 4.7 gigabyte DVD version of Knoppix. One of the amazing things that the Knoppix technology has developed is a file system to store the user applications in a compressed state. The 700 megabyte CD actually holds two gigabyte worth of data. If you are new to Open Source applications then this page may help you find more information on some of these useful programs.
