Please change /usr/bin/kdesu
to a symlink to /usr/bin/sudo
That would allow applications and kcontrol modules that require root privileges to run without the need for setting a root password first.
Of course, this applies only for the Live CD and the installer should reverse this change when installing Knoppix to HD.
