Static Ip and google.com at bootup

I have tried unsuccessfully to have knoppix start with a static ip and have mozilla automatically start with google.com as the startup page. What is the right way to do this?

To start Mozilla with google,
Open mozilla--->Edit --->Preferences--->Navigator--->Choose display on Navigator Startup---->tick Home Page---->Change home page location to www.google.com.
