hi, everytime I boot knoppix from cd it starts to load and then says "cannot find knoppix file system droping to limited shell"
it will however boot properly in failsafe mode, my other computer boots in normally with no trouble , any ideas?????

You need to find out which cheat codes will work. Here is a list of them for you:

I would try knoppix nodma vga=normal to start.
