What version of Knoppix?
Have you sucessfully remastered before?
Did you remaster by hand or use a remastering script?

well we tried to remaster 3.8.2, yeah we did it for the first time but we used some turtorial online. we first tried a script which always gets halt on 70% on all the versions i have so we did it manually.

I got some notes that I took for remastering 3.8.2 (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Trivial_remaster_3.8.2) Basically, they are a series of three trivial remasters that successively are more complex. They are "trivial" in that there's no adding or removing of anything. I use them as "positive controls" just to make sure that the system I'm on can handle remastering. And I use it as a way to troubleshoot remastering problems.
So, try one of those and let us know if you are able to remaster any of those "trivial" versions.
