hi
can anyone tell me how to uninstall windows xp proffesional
i have been given a computer and i want to install linux however i have tried and it tells me that there is not enough space on the hard disk although there should be, so i have tried to uninstall windows with no success
i do not have partion magic or similar
and am pulling hair out
please advise me

start knoppix and use the program qtparted to repartition it as you like. you can easily wipe the disk if you want.

the way he partitions wipes the drive free of XP, I would not recommend instaling knoppix, i would say Debian or Ubuntu/Kubuntu would be better, they are made to live on a hdd, knoppix is not..
