Kernal panic

[st_moose]

Created boot floopies via KNOPPIX -> utiilies -> mkfloppy on desktop workstation, trying to boot laptop from those floppies (though I also get the error when trying to boot the desktop workstation)

kernal panic - not syncing:VFS unable to mount fs on unknown block (1,3)

any help would be appreciated!

Forget about boot floppies and make a boot floppy as discribed in the reference given in answer #1.
