I keep getting all of this super fine print on my screen, even with this 21" monitor that I have. I can't imagine using this with a 14" monitor. Is this just the way things are?

I tried changing the pixel attributes, but then I have to manually adjust my monitor's screen size to get the page to view correctly, making it a moot point. Is there a way to make the type larger, but also allow the screen to be viewed correctly?

Look at the cheat codes section of the wiki (follow the Documentation link near the top of this page) and find boot parameters for different size (and/or scan frequency) displays. Knoppix has likely detected that both you card and monitor are capable of a high resolution display and chosen much higher than you are used to.

There may be other ways to get larger font size and still use the ultra high resolution, which would give you extremely smooth characters, but I don't know how to do that. Perhaps someone else will join the discussion who does.
